Biography
Richard Goldstone is well known to the commercial industry as one its foremost directors of comedy dialogue. He has also distinguished himself as an innovative writer/producer/director of television pilots and short films.
His free-form improvisation based style has gained him a reputation as an actor’s director who can “write on his feet”.
Richard’s commercials have won numerous Clios, International broadcast awards, Tellys and Addys. He is a five time winner at the New York Film festival and a spot he directed for Stroh’s Beer was voted “Best Super Bowl” commercial in USA today. In 1989 Richard was chosen to fly, on 24 hours notice, to Berlin Germany to direct the multi-award winning AT &T “Berlin Wall” project.
His film “Dave’s Party” for Saturday Night Live was awarded a C.I.N.E. Golden Eagle and can be found in the permanent collection of The Pompidou Center for Modern Art in Paris.
The long and varied list of film, TV and sports celebrities with whom Richard Goldstone has worked includes: Kirsten Dunst, William Shatner, Elle Mc Pherson, Hayden Panettiere, John Madden, Heather Locklear, Jason Alexander, Rachel Hunter, Little Richard, Troy Aikman, Ryan Styles, Jane Seymour, Péle, and Toby Maguire.
Richard’s hour long prime time special “No Guts, No Glory” for the 75th anniversary of Warner Brothers, featured many of our top stars such as George Clooney, Morgan Freeman, Sandra Bullock and Clint Eastwood.
